North Around the Baltic Sea – Orchestra festival in two days on Musikaliska

Saturday and Sunday 10 and 11 November it will be orchestra festival with musicians and composers from the Nordic and Baltic countries with musicians from the O / Modern Chamber Orchestra and the Blåsar Symphonics under the direction of Hugo Ticciati. During the orchestra festival several performances are performed.

Chamber concert Saturday November 10th at 6pm offers first performance of Anna-Lena Laurin, music by Erkki-Sven Tüür, Sebastian Fagerlund, Anders Mogensen and Raminta Šerkšnyte. Contributing musicians are Christoffer Sundqvist (Clarinet), Janne Thomsen (Flute), Hugo Ticciati (Violin), Ellen Nisbeth (Viola), Jakob Koranyi (Cello), Heini Kärkkäinen (Piano) and Anders Mogensen (Percussion). Play time about 2 hours incl. break.

At 16:00, Round Table conversation (in English) with composers Erkki-Sven Tüür and Anna-Lena Laurin and musician Mark Tatlow.

The Fest concert on Sunday November 11 at 6 pm is the final of the autumn’s orchestra course where young instrumentalists have played with professional musicians and also participated in master classes and lectures. The concert is performed by a new generation of talented Swedish musicians together with musicians from O / Modern Chamber Orchestra and Blåsar symphonics. Conductors are Hugo Ticciati and Hanna Ohlson Nordh. The program includes, among others, Sibelius Symphony No. 1 and the performance of a new work by Ann-Sofi Söderqvist. Play time about 2 hours incl. break.
