Nordiska Kompaniet welcomes NK Saluhall’s new contractors

NK Saluhall is currently undergoing its major transformation to open up a new concept this winter. Here, Stockholm gets a gastronomic hub with some of Sweden’s most talented food contractors. The meat counter will be run by Johan Jureskog and Klas Ljungquists from AG, the fish counter by the brothers Nils and Erik Molinder from Melander’s, bread and chocolate by the baker and confectioner Johan Sörberg, the cheese counter by Vincent and Anna Lefèvre from Androuet and basic food and fruit and vegetables by Johannes Cullberg from Paradiset.

New NK Saluhall will offer a traditional sales hall experience in combination with food stores and a basic food range. It will be a culinary place where customers can pick up raw materials and delicacies for a good dinner or lunch, but there is also the possibility to relax on one of the smaller dining areas to enjoy a meal with friends, colleagues or family.

– We are incredibly pleased that we have been able to attract these talented food contractors to our new market hall. They belong to all top teams in their respective categories and have solid knowledge and experience that together will make the new NK Saluhall a world-class food destination, says Andreas Edström, department store manager Nordiska Kompaniet.

The new food contractors will combine their food items with different types of serving. Here there will be something for Stockholm’s all food enthusiasts. At the family company Androuet you can try French cheeses from small-scale producers with matching drinks. At Melanders you can combine your shopping with a delicious shrimp sandwich or you can enjoy a steak minute of AG’s meat experts. Paradiset will be responsible for NK Saluhall’s basic range and also offer a salad bar as well as ready-made lunches and snacks for customers on the go. NK Bread and Chocolate will be run by one of the country’s most outstanding bakers and confectioners, Johan Sörberg, who shares the entrepreneurship of the departments with Melanders Group.

– I am convinced that Melanders as a brand will both contribute to and benefit from being in the new sales hall at NK. Together with the other players, I hope to create a gastronomic center where customers get the best quality and knowledge in food and drink, says Nils Molinder, Melander.

A couple of the goods counter will be open before Christmas and then all contractors will be in place in February 2019. When developing the new concept for NK Saluhall, Pelle Lydmar has been a strategic advisor.
