Nino Ramsby visits Spoken word at the Royal Dramatic Theatre

The many-year-old Spoken word success continues at the Royal Dramatic Theatre. Sweden’s coolest poets share stage with actors and invited guest artists, with the word in focus. Small Stage on 22 and 23 May.

Spoken word on the Royal Dramatic Theatre has grown and grown over the years, from a modest start in Lejonkulan’s foyer in 2009 to today taking place on the theater’s biggest scenes. Director makes Niklas Mesaros who has been involved in the Dramaten& Spoken word since the start.

Dramaten& Spoken word is poetry as performing arts with the energy of the hip hop and deep personal voices: monologues about everything from love and relationships to questions about identity, prejudices and norms.

Participating on 22 and 23 May does the poets Rojda Sekersöz, Oskar Hanska, Iman Talabani, Yolanda Bohm and Niklas Mesaros, as well as actors Sanna Sundqvist, Eric Stern and David Wiberg.
