Music | Acclaimed Anderson East on the way to Sweden with the new album Delilah

By on June 8, 2016
The 27-year-old Anderson East from Athens, Alabama, is about to hit it big as one of the new stars in the US with its sun-drenched mix of r & b, soul and country.

With the new Dave Cobb-produced disc Delilah that now receive official release (10 June) in Sweden, Anderson East has taken a great leap forward and the vast majority think it will be Anderson who will be the next big hit in the wave of success of Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson and Chris Stapleton.

In a home where mostly gospel music was played on the stereo Anderson got himself venturing out to discover pop and rock artists. Early played the young Anderson guitar and soon he began to write songs and started his first band The Deputies with friends at home in Athens. Anderson became the 20-year-old professional artist full time and he has previously released two albums as a solo artist. It was when Anderson East recorded and hung in Los Angeles that Dave Cobb heard about the young talent and dragged him into his studio in Nashville for the recording of “Delilah”.
Anderson went during the day through a process of transformation that probably only Dave Cobb is able to create with his artists. Dave led him back to Anderson’s origin and the home state of Alabama to explore the matchless musical treasure that originated in Muscle Shoals, from the Fame Studio or Muscle Shoals Recording Studio. Dave picked out the very deepest and most animated in Anderson and drowned in “Delilah” in the purest soul. The final piece that allows us to assume that his career will continue to rise in rocket is his obvious star quality. But there, or that Anderson East is considered looking more than moderately good out, seems to have it together with country star Miranda Lambertz and quickly has become a celebrity in the innermost Nashville circuits, is less important.
At the end of the summer takes Anderson East with him throughout his amazing seven-piece band to Sweden for four gigs. We promise, there will be four sweaty evenings with a fantastic singer and a powerful southern soul groove.
