Modis restaurants in cooperation with restaurateurs Pontus Frithiof

Modis restaurants in collaboration with Pontus Frithiof become the new restaurateurs behind the Technical Museum’s new restaurant opening in the fall. The premises being renovated for a new concept for families where innovation, playfulness, technology and sustainability are in focus.

About just over a month starts a complete redevelopment of the Technical Museum restaurant with a larger kitchen, more seating and surfaces for the event, and in September opens a whole new dining experience in Stockholm created by Modis restaurants and Pontus Frithiof in close cooperation with the Technical Museum.

“We want the restaurant both to be part of the fun and curious museum experience, and an attractive destination in itself”, says Pontus Frithiof.

Sustainability, innovation and new technologies are the focus of the restaurant. Just as the museum’s vision to be all small geniuses favorite place based on the concept of children’s perspective – in everything from menus, ordering, payment and of course the dining experience. Even disk filing becomes a playful and interactive feature that shows what happens to both leftovers and dishes when eaten.

The Event part remakes and become a clearer part of the museum’s activities. Technical Museum is an important meeting place for Swedish and international business. With the new kitchen, the unique event environment and Pontus Frithiof knowledge and solid experience can the museum offer events and meals for large groups with the highest quality.

The current restaurant is rebuild from the ground up, the kitchen doubles to the surface and flexible environments is rebuild for a functioning logistics, both on weekdays and the increasing pressure on visitor on weekends and holidays. During the renovation in the summer the restaurant moves to temporary premises built by the museum.
