Mastodon with guests to Stockholm this fall!

By on August 9, 2017

The metal gods in Mastodon are highly current with the acclaimde album Emperor of Sand (“Metal needed this album” – NME). The band’s seventh album landed directly at the top of Billboards Top Album Sales Chart – and is just one of the band’s successes since the 2002 debut. It’s finally time for a tour in Europe – a stop at the Münchenbryggeriet in Stockholm on November 19th. With them the band has support bands Red Fang, Russian Circles and also the singer Scott Kelly (Neurosis) – after all years of collaboration together.

On November 10, Mastodon landes in Berlin – starting their first headline tour in Europe since 2015. A tour that fans in Europe awaited eagerly for, especially after the latest album Emperor Of Sand from April this year. A disc that hit down like a bomb in the metal world and is the band’s most successful so far. Critics celebrated the disc in unison:

”Mastodon are one of our generation’s greatest rock bands” – Classic Rock

“…” Emperor of Sand “is about embracing, appreciating and not taking anything for granted. It’s also so we should look at one of the metal world’s most wayward and reliable million successes… “- Aftonbladet

“This album shines equal clear as the previous release in the band’s catalog.” – Rockbladet

“.. a must-album from one of 2000’s best bands.” – Metal Central

Big words – but extremely suitable for Mastodon’s latest album, dealing with subjects such as diseases and deaths, but doing it with a fun of joy that few metal bands today possess. We are now longing for autumn and to welcome Mastodon to the Münchenbryggeriet in Stockholm. The fact that Red Fang and Russian Circles participate in the tour do not make matters worse – like the singer Scott Kelly, who has been featured on all the band’s records since 2004.

November 19 is already claiming to be one of the best nights of the fall! See you at the Münchenbryggeriet!
