Major Lazer surprised last Thursday with their new, 6-song long EP, Know No Better. One of the new songs on EPn is the single with the same name, “Know No Better” ft. Travis Scott, Camila Cabello and Quavo.

The new EP marks the band’s 2 years since the breakthrough LP’s Peace is the Mission and builds on the band’s global sound.

Know No Better is a collaboration with artists from all over the world, all sharing the same goal “making the world smaller by making the party bigger.” The guest artists of the EPn come from all over the world, such as Machel Montano from Trinidad and the Jamaicans Busy Signal, Sean Paul and Konshens.

Major Lazer always mixes their own sound with their feature artists, creating a beautiful and unique mix in the music. “Buscando Huellas” ft. J. Balvin and Sean Paul have a reaggeton sound while the song “Particula” with the South African artist Nasty C, Nigerian Ice Prince, Patoranking and Jidenna has heavy afrobeat influences. Dancehall superstar and close friend of the band, Busy Signal , Singing in the song “Jump”, while “Sua Cara” contains the Brazilian icons Anitta and Pabllo Vittar featuring native samba vibes. The EP’s last song “Front of the Line” features Caribbean music with the artists Montano and the dancehall legend Konshens. Know No Better also includes collaborations with producers such as Jr. Blender, Boaz van de Beatz, King Henry and Maphorisa.

The “Front of the Line” will be used in the Bacardis Sound of Rum initiative that will start in the coming weeks. Major Lazer has created their own rum mix in collaboration with Bacardi, which will be sold in limited edition this summer. The band will also make performances with Bacardi during the course of the year. The band member Jillionaire is also appointed Bacardi’s “Minister of Rum”.

The new EP is the sequel to the successors “Run Up” with PARTYNEXTDOOR and Nicki Minaj, “Cold Water” with Justin Bieber and MØ, as well as “Lean On” along with DJ Snake and MØ, one of the most successful songs through times.

In addition, Major Lazer has made a documentary, Give Me Future, filmed at their historic concert in Havana, Cuba 2016, facing an audience of 400,000. The critically acclaimed documentary was shown earlier this year at the Sundance film festival and will be released this fall.
