Magic heroes and strong women in musical performance based on Kalevala’s world

As a part of drawing attention to Finland 100 years, Dramaten is visited by the musicians Sara Edin and Tuulikki Bartosik with the music performance Kalevala: The Movie. There will be melodic melancholy and Finnish forest mood with takeoff in the world of Finnish national epos Kalevala. Gives in Lejonkulan’s foyer on December 10th.

Sara Edin, who sings and plays violin, has set music to Kalevala lyrics and own lyrics and created a musical work that takeoff in the Finnish national epos Kalevala’s world of myths and magic, the creation story and heroes. Together with Tuulikki Bartosik, on accordion and kantele, they ask the question; What does Kalevala have to tell us today?
