In 2012 came the news that hit like a bomb in the music world. Refused, one of Sweden’s most influential rock band would reunite. Over the past years has Refused again taken the festival stages around the world in possession, and last year released the band’s first album in 17 years “Freedom”.

After having been formed in Umeå 1991 Refused broke through in the mid nineties, and with their third albumThe Shape of Punk To Come” (1997) they created a certified classic. The hardcore punk band made a name for mixed with influences from post-punk, jazz and techno – along with the expressed political texts. “The shape of punk to comeis still regarded as one of history’s most influential punk release.

In the newly released Freedom the band worked with such diverse producers as Nick Launay, known for his work with, among others Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Kate Bush and Cassandra Wilson and Swedish Shellback.

With a constant desire to evolve and reinvent themselves and their music, they have remained one of Sweden’s most important bands, as well as a grand and explosive live experience.
