We are pleased to present the world premiere of the Operabyråns newly written opera Embedded in my heart, which is presented in collaboration with the Länsmusiken in Stockholm.

Antonia Bembo fought for her right to create music and left a violent and unfaithful husband for a life as a composer in France at the Sun King‘s court. Embedded in my heart” is based on the Bembo’s music and life story.

Music by Mattias Pettersson (born. 1972) who composed for electronics and Baroque instruments based on the forgotten Baroque composer Antonia Bembo (1640-1720) arias. In the show is also played violin music by Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre (1665-1729).

The libretto was written by Emma Broström, and the show is directed by Helena Röhr. For the design of the room and the costumes answer Bente Rolandsdotter. On stage involved Martin Vanberg, tenor, Christina Larsson Malmberg, soprano, Catalina Langborn, baroque violin, Jonas Nordberg, arch lute / baroque guitar and Kate Hearne, baroque cello. The artistic director is Catalina Langborn and Christina Larsson Malmberg.
