Local | Östermalm gets new restaurant

Visitors and customers of the shopping center Fältöversten, at Karlaplan, has got a brand new restaurant when Slagteriaktiebolaget opens its doors after about three months of construction. Guests will be offered a contemporary menu in the bistro bottling and stay open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Behind the investment is Sabis, which is an abbreviation of Slagteriaktiebolaget in Stockholm. The new restaurant is housed just outside the the company store.
– Finally! It feels incredibly fun and exciting to pick off building walls and see what we have worked so hard to be received. The food will keep very high quality and we hope we have found the right feeling and atmosphere that we now offer to the guests – that we give them a place to enjoy the whole day, from morning to night, says Marcus Ekman, at Sabis.
Restaurant manager is Helene Rosenquist and master chef Claes Hasselhuhn. Helene comes from Hallwylska and has previously worked at Story Hotel and within Erik Lallerstedts and Pontus Frithiofs restaurants. Claes has a solid resume with locations in the Swedish Culinary Team and Stockholm Culinary Team which won gold at the Culinary Olympics as well as head chef at the city hall.
– The menu is a fairly classic bistro menu with a good mix of meat, fish and seafood, but also with a lot of green. It is important for us to offer a modern, stylish alternative. The classics will always exist but we will also work a lot with daily fresh offerings depend on access to raw materials in season. That we have the store’s huge range like a giant pantry right beside opens up wonderful opportunities for us, says Claes.
Even from the AMF Real estate is happy about the new addition to the shopping center.
– It feels great that Slagteriaktiebolaget opens here! Sabis has a long history in Fältöversten and we are excited that they now arises in a new form. In this way we can offer our visitors an even wider range of breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner, says Henriette Johansson, Centre Manager Fältöversten.
