Local | Mark Levengood host to Night of the Proms

Saturday 19 March is the time for the star-studded show Night of the Proms at the Friends Arena, where classical music meets pop with famous pop stars performing their works accompanied by choir and symphony orchestra Il Novecento. Mark Levengood becomes the evening host who guides the audience through the show. Moreover, it is clear that the British star violinist Jennifer Pike connects to the ensemble consisting of Jill Johnson, Simple Minds, Lisa Stansfield, Zucchero and John Miles.

I have long dreamed that the Proms concerts would find their way to Sweden, says Mark Levengood, and I am extremely proud of the artists we have with us. We will ensure that there will be a night to remember for the audience and hope for a big commitment with much singing from the stands!

Concert format Night of the Proms has been around for 30 years and to date more than 9 million tickets sold to the various concerts since its inception. Besides the show offers a different musical mix where modern meets classic, it is also intended that the audience involved in the sing-along and dance from the stands.
