October 22 Stockholm, Debaser Strand

One of the UK‘s most exciting and popular new artist, singer-songwriter James Bay, coming to Stockholm Debaser Strand for his first Sweden gig on October 22 with his chart topping debut album Chaos and the Calm in the back.

James Bay discovered music at age 11 when he was inspired to pick up the guitar after hearing Eric Clapton and Duane Allman’s peerless display of Derek and the Dominos classic “Layla”. Through a live video uploaded on YouTube by a fan Bay was discovered by Republic Records – home to, among others, Ben Howard, Lorde and Florence + The Machine – which quickly signed the talent. After a bunch of EP release, countless accolades, a tour as opening act with the Irish sensation Hozier and a nomination for the BBC Sound of 2015 finally released his debut album Chaos and the Calm, the monster hit “Hold Back the River“, earlier this year.

After having been number one on the UK album charts and landed on number seven here in Sweden he makes his Sweden debut on October 22 at Debaser Strand – expect sold out and a unique chance to see James Bay make a really intimate live performance.
