February 21 – Debaser Strand, Stockholm

The Canadian quartet Half Moon Run hit it big with their emotional and beautiful folkrock debut Dark Eyes 2012. In February they will visit Stockholm again with the long awaited sequel Sun Leads Me On in the back. Ticket release Friday, October 16 at 10.00.

Half Moon Run was founded in 2009 by Devon Portielje, Conner Molander and Dylan Phillips in Montreal, Canada, and the debut album Dark Eyes took them around the world, with sold out concerts and lyrical fans as a result. Catchy folkrock with influences from, among others, Neil Young and Simon & Garfunkel in a modern style intimate, sentimental and melancholy. Sequel Sun Leads Me Home is released on October 23 by the record company Glass Note (Daughter, Mumford & Sons, Phoenix, etc.), and was written largely in California. More personal and enjoyable than Dark Eyes and with a wider sound field, as exemplified in the synth-heavy single “Trust”, there is no doubt that the Half Moon Run has taken the step up to the next level.

Half Moon Run returning to Stockholm Debaser Strand Sunday, February 21 for the first time since autumn 2013 – expect a magical evening. Ticket release Friday, October 16 at 10.00.
