February 24 Stockholm, Munich brewery

Grimes has enthralled an entire musical world and Dazed has called her “a pop idol from another dimension.” On February 24, she stands again on Swedish soil for a gig at Münchenbryggeriet, with the sequel to the 2012 peerless flat Visions in the back.

The Canadian Claire Boucher made her debut under the name Grimes in 2010 with the album Geidi Prime at Arbutus Records (Majical Cloudz, Doldrums, Sean Nicholas Savage, etc.). Sequel Halfaxa came in the same year and facing the third album, she wrote the indie giant 4AD. With Visions Boucher presented herself properly with eclectic and unique electronic pop, just as experimental and personal as danceable and commercially. The singles Genesis” and “Oblivionended up on every playlist and Visions hailed as one of 2012‘s strongest albums. Some stand-alone singles and a scrapped album later it finally be time for the sequel, which, according to Boucher herself is more focused and more political than Vision.

Grimes‘s new album will be released sometime this fall and we can not do other than keep our fingers crossed that it will be as soon as possible. Clearly, Grimes returns to Sweden for their first gig on Swedish soil since the magical evening at Way Out West 2013 and for the first time in Stockholm since the sold-out gig at Kägelbanan 2012.

Wednesday, February 24 is the date and Münchenbryggeriet is the place, write it down and book directly.
