Local | Five Finger Death Punch at Hovet in November

This year, Five Finger Death Punch celebrates 10 years as a band. Metal giants from Las Vegas releasing their new and highly anticipated album Got Your Six” in late August and 4 November, they return to Sweden and Hovet in Stockholm after a highly acclaimed performance at this summer’s Sweden Rock Festival.

The band, whose name is an homage to old martial arts movies, led by the charismatic vocalist Ivan Moody the founders Zoltan Bathory (guitar) and drummer Jeremy Spencer and bassist Chris Kael and guitarist Jason Hook. With five studio albums in the back, four of which sold gold, the sixth album on the way and concerts worldwide, Five Finger Death Punch is undeniably one of the greatest metal bands in recent years.

With songs like Lift Me Up” (with Rob Halford from Judas Priest), Far From Home” and the acclaimed Covern The House of the Rising Sunto name a few have Five Finger Death Punch positioned theirself as a significant factor in metal world, with countless awards that confirm this. That they also deliver acclaimed live shows with boundless energy contributes to the band’s greatness, something we could witness at the sold out Bandit Rock Awards in 2013 and recently at this year’s Sweden Rock Festival.

With themselves as support comes the Los Angeles band Devil You Know, which, among other things, used the same producer as Five Finger Death Punch and Gojira have done: Logan Mader. The band released their debut album “The Beauty of Destructionin 2014 which among other things meant that they was named the “Best New Band” at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards.
