Local | Ellie Goulding to Stockholm

By on October 4, 2015

Ellie Goulding has basically ran over everything and everyone recent. With yesterday’s single release On My Mind” and an upcoming album in November, we can now announce that the British pop queen will return to Sweden for a live show. On March 3, she takes on the Ericsson Globe in Stockholm, and after having seen her at the Way Out West this summer, we expect nothing less than a new slam dunk there and then.

Right after yesterday’s news about her third studio album Delirium released November 6 it is now also clear with a tour. The last few years have been a hurricane of various successes of the Herefordshireborn Ellie Goulding. Since her debut Lights” in 2010, she has sold over 20 million albums, had two pieces of chart toppers, won same number of Brit Awards and had her videos streamed over a billion (!) times. This year monsterhit Love Me Like You Do topped the charts in over 70 countries and broke the record as the most streamed song ever in a week. Only in Sweden it has passed 6 x Platinum and played over 33 million times on Spotify.

This is the success of such a magnitude that it could be a disincentive for someone’s career, but for Ellie Goulding there are no doubt. With the new single “On My Mindand the upcoming album, it is very clear that she is determined to do everything bigger, better and bolder. The single she released yesterday was written by Ellie Goulding, Max Martin, Savan Kotecha and Ilya the same team who also co-wrote the worldwide hit “Love Me Like You Do”. Producer of the single is Ilya, a part of the production team Wolf Cousins, who has previously worked with, among others Ariana Grande, Jennifer Lopez and Taylor Swift.

Completely objectively, we can conclude that it is hardly possible to become hotter than Ellie Goulding in 2015. In August, we were a massive crowd in front of the scene at the Way Out West who saw her standing in the action zenith. An incredible talent with interesting and bold statement and a voice as addictive as white sugar, and cream.

On March 3 Ellie Goulding returns to Sweden. This time to Stockholm and the Ericsson Globe.
