Local | Elias releasing two singles and playing on Popaganda

By on June 12, 2016

Elias boarded the Swedish music scene in early 2015 with his critically acclaimed debut singleRevolution”.

During the year he had time to even release a comprehensive EP,Warcry”, playing at the Way Out West and for a sold out Southern Theater. Furthermore Elias spent a lot of time in the studio with producers Paul Epworth (Adele, John Legend, FKA twigs, Lorde), John Hill (Florence + the machine, Charlie XCX, Eminem) and HYAENA which functions as Elias right hand.

2016 Elias began the year by performing his debut single “Revolution” at the Grammy Awards to standing ovations.

On 10 June Elias broke a few months of silence with the release of the two singles: ”Down N Out” och ”Makin Me Happy”. Both songs wrote Elias, together with the above-mentioned John Hill and Swede Daniel Ledinsky (Tove Lo, Cee Lo Green, TV on the Radio) during a trip to Los Angeles last fall. Why Elias chose to release two songs at the same time is not really stranger than that they belong together.

This summer will Elias be seen live on several European festivals, and on Popaganda in Stockholm as the only Swedish dates.

This winter is expected the debut album. A personal portrait, with honest lyrics that both blacks and wish away.
