Local | Dramaten& in September: Lunch poetry and live music, reading groups and Shakespeare Dinners

Dramaten& arrange in September book circles in Pauli café, starting this autumn’s series of lunch poetry with live music and setting the table again for Dinner with Shakespeare that was a great success at the premiere occasions last spring.
Under the heading Dramaten& intermingled concerts, lectures, spoken word performances, talks, clubs, readings, alternative drama forms and much more. Dramaten& is a platform for cross-border, innovative and curious – an in-depth knowledge of the repertoire and an expanded view of what theater can be. In September is the literature emphasized arrangements in the focus of Dramaten &.
Dinner with Shakespeare
The table is set – for you, Shakespeare and Romeo & Juliet Choir! During the jubilee year 2016, by Shakespeare in focus 400 years after his death, can be a very special evening in Dramatic Marble foyer. You are served a meal seated at a table, laid with linen and candelabras, and during the meal time rises Romeo & Juliet Choir from the top table and serve you even sonnets and other musical delicacies. Dramatens book club
Come to Pauli café at Dramaten& and discuss both classics and newly released work. Dramatens dramaturges leading the talks. On the first occasion, Sunday, September 11 at 15 o’clock, discussed the Israeli writer David Grossman’s book Fallen ur tiden. The acclaimed novel underlying Falla ur tiden that Suzanne Osten sets up at Elverket (release August 27). On the second occasion, Sunday, October 2 at 15, discussed Per Olov Enquist’s August Prize-winning autobiography Ett annat liv. PO Enquist is one of today’s most beloved and translated Swedish authors, and has besides novels Nedstörtad ängel and Captain Nemo’s library written many plays, including In the lynx hours that were set up on the small stage in the spring and continues to play in the fall (revival of september 9th). The books that the book circles treats are available at Dramatens ticket office.
Another book club will be in the autumn.
Lunch Poetry & live music
Take a break with poetry at Royal Dramatic Theatre. Poetry and live music programs in Lejonkulan foyer is a collaboration with the Royal Opera House and take in the fall based on the concepts of “father”, “mother”, “sister” and “brother”. Actors from Dramatens Ensemble and invited soloists and musicians from the Opera participates at every opportunity, an exciting new constellation every time. For the program stands actor and playwright Hannes Meidal.
