Local | Classic Hip Hop-club is resurrected at Kägelbanan

One of Stockholm’s most popular Hip Hop clubs will be back in the fall. Club Spider Dogs invite famous hip hop artists that meets the house band Spider Dogs for an evening. Club premiered nine years ago and has been visited by acts like Timbuktu, Organismen, Ison & Fille and many more. The 24th of September is the revival of Kägelbanan in Stockholm and the first as a guest is current at cinema Adam Kanyama.

“We want to strike a blow for live music and create a meeting place for Hip Hop in Stockholm,says Victor Marko, one half of Mofeta & Jerre that host the club. The evening starts with an Open Mic, where MCs get the opportunity to show their skills.

Season’s first guest artist Adam Kanyama, who broke through already at age 15 with sharp verses in both Swedish and English. Since then he has sold platinum with his group OIAM and feature film debuts in October he was in the movie “While we live,” described as “A brave film. An absolute mustof Göteborgs Posten.

DJs for the evening is Marcus Price and Marimba Roney. Marcus Price was one of the first guests at Club Spider Dogs with his group Fattaru. He Djar now mostly electronic dance music, but this time he plays Hip Hop and especially Swedish music. Marimba Roney has DJat since she was 15 years and written about music in Aftonbladet. She ends the evening with Hip Hop, Dancehall, Grime and the base for the dance floor.
