Local | Aurora to Stockholm in April

Besides the beautiful nature, skiers, and the oil so Norway can also be proud of the 19-year-old pop talent Aurora that is absolutely world class. At Way Out West last summer, she impressed a lot and now it’s finally time for a new visit to Sweden. See her shine at Debaser Strand in Stockholm on 27 April. Ticket release on Friday, November 6th at 10:00.

19-year-old Norwegian prodigy Aurora Aksnes taught herself to play the piano at age six and has written her own music since she was ten. Electronic pop in Scandinavian style with a dark and mystery where the Fever Ray meets Bob Dylan and fantasy literature like Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings.

Aurora dazzled bloggers and journalists with her amazing debut single Awakening” last year and impressive gigs around Europe. Aurora has topped the influential music blog Hype Machine“, NME described her music as “atmospheric pop certainly has the strength to back up the hype” and The Line of Best Fit filled in with “a crystalline electronic beauty that at once soothes and inspires.

With the release of her debut EP Running With the Wolvesearlier this spring, the Norwegian pop phenomenon established herself as one of Scandinavia’s most exciting talents. Latest single “Murder Songs (5, 4, 3, 2, 1)” indicates that we can have something really big in front of us in Aurora. New album lands in early 2016. Then we hold out for a few weeks before we finally get the opportunity to experience this lovely live.
