Lidingöloppet Ultramarathon and Vårmilen

By on May 5, 2017

This weekend is the time for this year’s Lidingöloppet Ultramarathon. In connection with this is Vårmilen also implemented. A wonderful race day is waiting for all participants who are more in number than 2016.

Stockholm’s most beautiful Ultralopp is organized in classical Lidingö terrain on May 7th. With early start in the morning, a day is waiting on nice trails and in an archipelago-friendly setting. More than 500 runners take the chance to experience Lidingö in springtime. The distances that runs are 50 km and 26 km respectively. On 26 km runs David Nilsson, Högby IF, who is ready for World Championship in marathon.

– Sunday the 7th of May is a day in the running sign. We will experience really cool performance and sees a lot of joy. Ultralöping is something special that we really want to take care of, says Tomas Hoszek Secretary General Lidingöloppet.

On sunday is Vårmilen also determined where participants can experience 10 km of running in the Lidingö forests. When the star shot goes, more than 900 participants will go out on the nice track. It is a participant record, which means that more people will experience Vårmilen. The race has visits from several of the country’s running groups such as Runacademy, Team Nordic Trail, Club Running Sweden and others.

– The rallying has been good from different running groups but also from other runners. It’s really fun to be able to showcase a new part of Lidingö for more runners, says Jens Sjöblom Project leader for Vårhelgen.

During the day there will be shop, dining and children’s activities. These children activities are managed by Team Rynkeby Täby and the money goes directly to the Children’s Cancer Fund.
