He has recorded records with friends Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings and Merle Haggard and is since a long time elected to the Country Music Hall of Fame. With over 30 albums, 70 feature films and a GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Award, Kris Kristofferson is undoubtedly one of the country’s largest through the ages.

This summer we have the honor to welcome Kris Kristofferson and The Strangers to Stockholm for a gig at Gröna Lund in Stockholm on June 7th.

Tickets to Gröna Lund will be released on the concert day.

Kris Kristofferson started his incredible career in the 1970s, when he broke through big with own written songs like “Me and Bobby McGee”, “Help Me Make It Through the Night” and “For the Good Times”, which all topped the country lists. By the end of the 1980s, over 450 artists had already recorded different versions of Kristofferson’s songs. His success as a songwriter and artist also led to an acting career in which he participated in over 70 films, including Blade Trilogy, Lone Star and Alice Doesn´t Live Here Anymore.

In 1977 he won a Golden Globe for “Best Actor” in the film “A Star is Born” where he played against Barbra Streisand, a film now critically acclaimed in a new version with Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga in the lead roles.

On Kristofferson’s 70th birthday, the tribute album “The Pilgrim: A Celebration of Kris Kristofferson” released, among others Willie Nelson, Russel Crowe, Emmylou Harris, Rosanne Cash and Brian McKnight recorded his songs. Today he has turned 82, but shows no plans to step down. On the tour he is joined by The Strangers, members of Merle Haggard’s band: Scott Jones (fiddle, guitar, song), Doug Colosio (keyboards) and Jeff Ingraham (drums).

This summer we will finally see Kris Kristofferson & The Strangers on Swedish soil!
