September 8th gather again Sweden’s best food truck in Kungsträdgården for this year’s edition of the success Sthlm Street Food. More truckers than ever participate in this year’s Food Truck-SM, cookbook writer and food blogger Jessica Frej presents the semi-finals in Sweden’s Best Parade dish on the big stage and the pingis legend Mikael “Äpplet” Appelgren challenges the festival’s visitors in round pingis.

Next Saturday, September 8th, it will be full speed all day in Kungsträdgården when the Stockholm Fair invites all Stockholmers to the tasty food festival Sthlm Street Food. In addition to the prestigious Food Truck-SM competition, where 42 “truckers” from across the country compete for the SM title, there will be over 70 exhibitors in food, baking and beverage on-site. Four GraffitiSthlm artists are in place with a big graffiti wall where all visitors can try graffiti.

It is also time to appoint two finalists in Sweden’s Best Parade dish.

– This will be a last lovely summer party for all of Stockholm! Everyone is welcome! A unique opportunity to try lots of new food and meet new people, which is just the perfect day before the election, says cookbook writer and food blogger Jessica Frej who leads the semifinal in Sweden’s Best Parade dish on the big stage at Sthlm Street Food.

The semi-finalists will be ready in the quiz squad on the big stage at 14 o’clock. Two finalists move on and will be coached by Jessica Frej before the final.

What would you say is the most important thing if you want to win Sweden’s Best Parade dish?
– I’m not sitting in the jury myself, but I would like to say that the most important thing is to have genuine interest in good and well-prepared food. This is such a good competition because probably everyone has a personal parade dish, it’s a fun thing to lift! says Jessica Frej.

The two finalists will meet in an exciting cooking show at Food & Wine, which will be held at Stockholm Fair 9-11 November.

Round pingis with Mikael “Äpplet” Appelgren
Sthlm Street Food offers more surprises – among others, the pingis legend Mikael “Äpplet” Appelgren is in place in Kungsträdgården to challenge the festival’s visitors in round pingis. “Äpplet” will participate in the new exciting event Racket, aimed at anyone who wants inspiration and to experience trends in our five racket sports: paddle, tennis, squash, table tennis and badminton. Racket takes place at the Stockholm Fair 12-14 April 2019. Read more about Racket here>>
