The Culture Night Saturday 29 April 18-24

The Royal Armoury welcomes everyone who is fascinated by Japan. Right now the Katanas exhibition is going on, which in a lightly melted way, tells about a myth-spun piece of hard steel – the Japanese sword. From being the warrior’s identity marker in Japanese Samurai culture, the sword has become the favorite weapon of the hollywood hero. The Katanas exhibition shows a number of Japanese swords from Livrustkammaren’s arms collection.

There will be views of shining swords and armor from the royal rust chamber. During the evening shows movies with katanas in one of the main roles and Petra Holmberg tells about Japanese nerds throughout the ages. In the Stensalen serves the bar Myntkrogen refreshments with Japanese theme and Dj Månsken stands for entertainment.
