He is a celebrated singer-songwriter from England who has won both Critics’ Choice Awards, Best British Male Solo Artist and nominated for several Grammy Awards. He received his major international breakthrough with the 2014 “Hold Back the River”, which climbed the charts all over the world and on June 14, we’ll see James Bay’s step out on Gröna Lund’s Big Stage.

James Michael Bay was born in 1990 in Hitchin, England, and started playing guitar thanks to Eric Clapton’s song “Layla”. His debut album “Chaos and the Calm” was released in 2015, where the songs “Let It Go” and “Hold Back the River” have been streamed over 750 million times in Spotify. He has won two Brit Awards in the categories “Critics’ Choice” and “Best British Male Solo Artist”. In 2016 he was also nominated for three Grammy Awards for “Best New Artist”, “Best Rock Album” and “Best Rock Song”. On February 9, he released his new single “Wild Love” and June 14th at 20.00, we welcome James Bay to Gröna Lund’s Big Stage.
