Hellacopters return to Grönan

By on December 14, 2017

One of Sweden’s biggest rock bands through the ages did comeback two years ago after eight years of residence. They have not played at the tivoli since 2003, but next year they are up to date with a new tour. August 3 at 20.00 we again welcome The Hellacopters to Gröna Lund’s Great Scene.

The Hellacopters was formed in 1994 and the debut album “Supershitty to the Max!”, which came two years later, was rewarded with a Grammis. It was followed by critically acclaimed plates such as “Payin ‘the Dues”, “Grande Rock” and “By The Grace of God”. The Hellacopters importance for rock’n’roll reappearance can not be overestimated and since then they have released seven studio albums, been on countless tours and been opening act to Rolling Stones and Kiss.

After an eight year long and well-needed break, Nicke Andersson, Dregen, Kenny Håkansson, Boba Fett and Robban Eriksson 2016 reunited for a jubilee show celebrating the 20th anniversary of their groundbreaking debut album. What was just meant to be a one-time affair gave more flavor and The Hellacopters resurrected. In the summer of 2017 Sami Yaffa was recruited from world-renowned Hanoi Rocks on bass and the band gave several gigs at festivals around Europe. In 2018, The Hellacopters will be on tour again, better than ever.

August 3 at 20.00, steps the kings of rock ‘n roll out at Gröna Lund’s Great Stage for the fourth time.
