Healthy Risk Management, Skin in the Game

By on September 24, 2019

Certain decisions, not least in the financial and economic sectors, require the opportunity to venture. Often a certain degree of risk is needed to achieve change. But it’s easy to lose judgment.

Those who risk something for their own part – whether it is a financial investment or a political decision – tend to be more cautious and thoughtful.

Having their own “Skin in the Game” creates credibility, and Nassim Taleb believes that good risk management means that anyone who has something to gain should also be prepared to take the hit if things go wrong.

Nassim Taleb is the researcher with trader background who predicted the stock market crash in 2008. Now he is current with the book “Skin in the Game – the importance of shared risk”. Among his acclaimed earlier books are “The Black Swan” and “Cheated by Random”.

The lecture Healthy Risk Management, Skin in the Game with Nassim Taleb will be held at Påhlmans Handelsinstitut Monday 30 September 2019.
