Have The Bland written the Music Aid new theme song?

By on November 17, 2016

With this song as theme song are we in 12 cities to raise money for Music Aid in 2016.

The Bland is an Americana band with roots in Örebro, which this year already done over 50 gigs.

The Bland plow their own musical furrow” – Nerikes Allehanda

The band has created something new, something magical” – Sundsvall newspaper

“The Bland deserve to operate in a very own category …” – King Magazine

Now that The Blands hometown become organizer for Music Aid in 2016, the band decided to re-jump into the tour bus. To contribute to this year’s music-aid, we have written a song dedicated to the theme “Children in war have the right to go to school.” The song “Monday Morning” is about how overwhelming it must be that the children are prevented to go to school and their friends because of something as unreal as war. One reason a child not even should have to understand. Something that inspired the text were the many stories of children who expressed a very strong desire to be able to study and get back to their normal lives.

We slept in the snow and rain. We will do it again and again to continue studying “- Selma, 11, who in an interview by UR explains how she loved school and learning. The learned words have three years without school been forgotten and longing to return seem unbearable.

Come and join on-site or through social media and ladle some money instead of buying that little unnecessary Christmas gift!
