Grand Hôtel opens two newly renovated signature suites

Now Stockholm’s most exclusive accommodation opens, two of Grand Hôtels signature suites. During the spring, the two suites have undergone a total renovation and received the names Flaggsviten and Taksviten. The world-famous and Swedish-born interior designer Martin Brudnizki is behind the design, making his debut at home.
The suites are located at the top of the hotel’s main building, overlooking Strömkajen and Stockholm Castle. After a whole spring of renovation, they are now ready to open. Behind the new interior is one of the world’s most acclaimed interior designers, the Swedish-born Martin Brudnizki. A prestigious mission that welcomes the Grand Hôtel, which is the first in Sweden to collaborate with the London and New York based architect.
“It has been both fun and rewarding to work with Martin Brudnizki. That our new signature suites are his first project in Sweden feels extra fun. We always strive to work with the foremost in their industry and today we are extremely pleased with the results, “ – says Pia Djupmark, CEO of the Grand Hôtel.
The suites are inspired by the environment Brudnizki grew up in. The furnishings are soft with subtle colors, patterns and modern furniture. The style feels both comfortable and private with a modern touch. The colors are dominated by two palettes; blue and pink as well as green and yellow. Strong colors have been used consistently in, for example, velvet chairs and geometrically patterned carpets.
In the suites, which together extend over 185 sqm, there is both an open fireplace and access to a private roof terrace. The suites that can be used individually or interconnected are on their own floor plan, thus providing total privacy.
Brudnizki is the Swedish born in Stockholm, who has been active abroad throughout his professional life. In 2000 he started Martin Brudnizki Design Studio (MBDS) in London and in 2012 a branch opened in New York. MBDS is an internationally acclaimed interior and architectural agency with experience in creating interiors for enriched hotels, restaurants, bars and private member clubs. Now he can also add the Grand Hôtel to the list of customers.
