Go Green – Get a green fix!

By on July 23, 2017

POLLUTIONS INCREASE. IT’S TIME TO FIGHT AGAINST.

By 2030* 60% of the world’s population will live in cities. The pollutants are not only bad for nature, they are also the worst enemy of the skin.

Pollution can cause damage to the cellular level, dry skin, inflammation, pigmentation and premature aging of the skin. To effectively remove contaminants from the skin has become a vital part of all skin care routines.

“Beautiful skin begins with healthy skin. Adding a face mask regularly helps to remove not only contaminants but also excess fat, makeup and dirt from the skin’s surface, for a mild yet deep cleaning.” Dr Christine Choi Kim, dermatologist, The Body Shop.

GET A GREEN FIX-STAY AGAINST POLLUTION WITH A NEW DEEP CLEANSING MASK

Green is really the color that applies to 2017. Therefore, The Body Shop is proud to announce a powerful new addition to its range of expert face masks. The 100% vegan mask removes contaminants, cleans in depth and helps prevent contamination from sticking on the skin.

“Tea, full of catechins and polyphenols, was originally used as a medicine. The Japanese took it one step further and put the green tea at the heart of a ceremony that has continued to evolve for over 1,200 years.” Jennifer Hirsch, Beauty Botanist for The Body Shop.

New Japanese Matcha Tea Pollution Clearing Mask is now being launched
Enriched with Matcha – green tea from Kakegawa in Japan, and dandelion extract to remove contaminants and impurities in the skin. The mask is naturally exfoliating with luffa particles, and has a creamy formula that produces a fresh skin with luster.

DID YOU KNOW THAT…?
Your skin can not take full advantage of a good daily routine if the layers of contamination and impurities are not removed first. New Japanese Match Tea Mask deep cleanses the skin and removes the contaminants that build up during the week, prepares the skin for the week to come and helps your other products to perform as they should.

GREEN MATCHA POLLUTION CLEARING RITUAL:

After a gentle cleansing with your regular The Body Shop cleaning, wet a Muslin Cloth in warm water and put it over your face. Drop on a few drops of The Body Shops essential oils for maximum relaxation.

Apply the mask to dampened skin using a Mask Brush. Continue with a light massage, start on your forehead and move in large circles over your face. Work towards the nose.

Circle around your eyes and let’s sit for a quarter while meditating. Rinse off with warm water. Use circular movements to give a gentle exfoliation. When the mask is completely removed, dip your Muslin Cloth in cold water and lay it over your face for a minute to help the pores pull together.

Finish with British Rose Petal-Soft Gel Toner for smoother skin, or Chinese Ginseng & Rice Milky Toner for more luster.

HELP TO PROTECT THE INDIAN ELEFANT
The Indian elephants need help. They belong to a threatened species, and the number of elephants has decreased by half in just three generations. Without help, the number will continue to decrease. Together with World Land Trust and Wildlife Trust India, The Body Shop helps to allow elephants who are divorced by forest wrecking to meet again by building a natural corridor – a biobridge. Each purchase protects and recreates a square meter of biobridge that allows the elephants to re-reach and reunite.
