FROM ABBA THE MUSEUM TO THE ROYAL SWEDISH OPERA

Catarina Falkenhav has been appointed the new marketing and sales director of the Royal Swedish Opera. She joins the establishment from ABBA The Museum, where she was instrumental in building up the brand and putting it on the domestic and international map. Over the past 20 years, Catarina has held several management positions in communications and sales and was named “Marketing Director of the year” in 2015.

“Having the opportunity to work with the Royal Swedish Opera is a dream for me. An establishment with performances almost every night, one that brings together so many artistic expressions at the same time –amazing,” said Catarina Falkenhav.

Prior to ABBA The Museum, Catarina held various management positions at companies such as CEO at the branding agency Identity Works and Sales Director at the TV production company Jarowskij. In 2015, she was named “Marketing Director of the Year.” According to the jury, Catarina was awarded the accolade for being “clear, inspiring, and creative, with a natural instinct for the best ideas,” among other qualities.

Catarina Falkenhav will assume her new position at the Royal Swedish Opera on January 10, 2017 and will be a part of the management team.
