At Restaurant gala on October 16, Frida Ronge and Petter Stordalen were awarded the joint award for the Year’s Innovator for Restaurant Tak. Frida Ronge was also awarded the award for the Year’s Flavor Creator.

During the annual Restaurant gala in Stockholm, several of the industry’s heaviest prices are distributed. The prestigious award for the Innovator of the Year went to Petter Stordalen and Frida Ronge. Petter Stordalen owns the hotel group Nordic Choice Hotels where Tak is included as the only independent restaurant. Chef Frida Ronge is creative leader for Tak and responsible for the dining experience.

– It’s a great honor to share the award with Petter Stordalen as the Year Innovator, says Frida Ronge. There are few people in the world who dare to carry out such a great restaurant initiative as Tak and with such confidence in everyone involved. Thanks to all the great employees became Tak also a success.

Frida Ronge was also awarded the award for the Year’s Flavor Creator for her compositions where Japanese flavors meet Swedish raw materials.

– To get the prize for the Year’s Flavor Creator feels amazing as I put down my soul in the small details of our dishes. It has been a big challenge to go from a few dozen seats at the restaurant to several hundred at Tak. The award is therefore extra important, it shows that we managed to scale up my cooking to reach a significantly larger number of guests.

Tak were also nominated in a third category for the Year’s Bar concept.
