Frida Farell winner of the prestigious “Indie film of the year award”

A week ago unveiled “Selling Isobel” by and with the Swedish actress Frida Farrell in the lead role, premiered with a housefull show at the Raindance Film Festival, yesterday it won the prestigious “Indie film of the Year Award” at the Raindance Film Festival in London.

“It feels so wonderful to receive this prize, of course, it strengthens my faith and the reason why I did the film even more. The kidnapping happened 14 years ago, and I didn’t talk about it for ten years because I was too embarrassed. I was too scared. I thought, People are gonna judge me, they’re gonna pity me, and I don’t want that. Because I’m not a victim – I’m a survivor”.-Frida Farrell actress and Producer

Award winning director Rudolph Buitendach was nominated for Best New Director by the BBC, his feature Dark Heart starring Lucas Till (X-Men McGuyver), was nominated for best film at the 20th Raindance Film Festival and debuted on Showtime. His latest film Where The Road Runs Out won numerous awards, including Best Director at the Academy Qualifying Sunscreen. Frida Farrell (Isobel) studied drama at London’s Central School of Speech and Drama, alongside numerous feature films, this talented actress guest starred on Fox’s Bones and was nominated for Best Actress and Breakout Female star for her performance in Contract Killer. She created Hell Pictures alongside fellow Saving Isobel writer Glynn Turner, and in only two years they received over 30 nominations and 10 wins! Starring alongside Frida is Gabriel Olds as Peter (Boardwalk Empire) and Matthew Marsden as Mark (Two and a Half Men).

The gifted crew includes Cinematographer Stefan Ciupek (127 Hours, Slumdog Millionaire), Sound by Per Hallberg at the Formosa Group (Spectre, Skyfall), Composer ADD NAME and the Editor Dan Loghin. Selling Isobel was produced by Frida Farrell, Patrick G. Ingham, Stelio Savante and Gynn Turner.
