Fredrik Benke Rydmans audience success the Nutcracker back on the House of Dance

After a completely sold-out season at the House of Dance in Stockholm last autumn, followed by a highly acclaimed tour to Gothenburg and Munich, comes Fredrik Benke Rydmans acclaimed version of the Nutcracker back! On 16 November 2017, the show revival of House of Dance. Tickets for Autumn 2017 is released!
The Nutcracker was a total audience success when it was shown in September-October 2016 on Dance House main stage. Not a single seat was empty during the five-week play period.
“A lousy story with great music”. So described earlier Bounce dancer and choreographer behind the international success of Swan Lake, Fredrik Benke Rydman, The Nutcracker for the premiere in 2016. In his hands transformed the ballet classic from the 1800’s to a spectacular stage show with street dance and specify location theme. Tchaikovsky’s music meets in the set newly composed music by the likes of Danny Saucedo and Anna Ternheim.
– It feels great to be doing the Nutcracker again. We’ll make the show better, sharpen the characters, it will be as we know, never finished and I should also remake the ending … ” says Fredrik Benke Rydman.
The Nutcracker is best known as a ballet based on E T A Hoffmann’s fear romantic story of 1816 with music by Pjotr Tjajkovskij. Original Sagan’s Christmas celebration at the home of a wealthy family changed in Rydman’s version out to a much rougher environment when the document is upgraded to the present. The audience can follow the little girl Clara who has been left alone to live in a dump, while her parents are begging on the streets of a rich foreign country. In the hope of being reunited with their parents, tricked Clara to accompany an organ traders in search of a young heart to sell to a sick woman. The Nutcracker, the Prince, has broken and lost his star shine. At the same time tells an audience host all we want and do not want to know about the show. All hunts security and a context of a story that is frighteningly similar to the reality we live in.
After the play period in the House of Dance in the autumn will the show once again embark on a European tour – this time to Hamburg, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Vienna and Zurich.
Fredrik Benke Rydman’s ” Nutcracker” have revival November 16, 2017 at the House of Dance in Stockholm, where it plays until 30 December.
