On January 19, 2018, First Aid Kit releases a new long-awaited album: “Ruins”. It was produced by Tucker Martine (My Morning Jacket, Laura Veirs) and recorded in Portland, Oregon, USA where sisters Söderberg also collaborated with musicians like Peter Buck from R.E.M., Glenn Kotche from Wilco and McKenzie Smith from Midlake.

On Friday, First Aid Kit also released the song “Postcard” which is on the upcoming album. Klara and Johanna tell about the song:

“Postcard” is one of the most traditional songs we have written, and we wanted the production to reflect it. It’s not a sad song, more greetings and happiness on the way to someone who you has to let go of “

In 2018, First Aid Kit will launch an extensive tour, starting in Oakland, USA on January 24th. In Sweden, they visit Malmö / Konserthuset on March 12, followed by Göteborg / Lisebergshallen on 15 March and Stockholm / Waterfront on 16 and 17 March.
