Exhibition program 2017

Väsby Konsthall presents the exhibition year 2017. We meet artists working both in Sweden and internationally. There will be a varied program including painting, sculpture, wood, textiles and glass, as we long desired. This year will be a reality by four Swedish artists. Art year begins January 14 with a major retrospective exhibition of the acclaimed artist and illustrator Bo Mossberg.

Mossberg is known for his watercolors and drawings in books such as The Nordic flora, Mushrooms in Sweden, Bumblebees in Sweden, with several titles. During the exhibition, we are invited also to music, guided tours and radio broadcasting, Nature morning broadcast in P1, early Saturday 21 January.

THE SPRING invites further on exhibitions with artists Annette Ahrenberg, paintings, installations, Carola Edlund sculpture, painting, Gunilla Sköld Feiler, painting, installations.

Linda Lasson, textile artist, embroidery inspired by the Jämtland mountains, nature, Sami culture and their life situation.

Juried Watercolor Salon, open to artists from all the Nordic countries, belongs to the spring in Väsby Konsthall. One, or two, admitted artists awarded Väsby Konsthall Watercolour Scholarship.

Student Salon concludes the semester. Väsby pre- and primary school students exhibit creations, this year with free theme. New this year is an idea from school, that student work from the schools grades 6-9 jury assessed.

AUTUMN begins with Väsby Assistance and Support services, a group exhibition featuring works created by people with different support needs.

Pia Fonnesbech, Danish artist touring throughout the Nordic region, with its exhibition Light.

The year ends with that we pay attention to our neighbor Finland’s independence 100 years with art project Transit / Välitila. Painting, installation, music by artists from Finland and Sweden. Curator Sarianna Krantz.
