McLean was a respected name, along with amon others Bob Dylan and Joan Baez, in the extremely strong songwriter wave that emerged in the United States in the early 70’s. A clear evidence of McLean’s great influence is the number of artists who have interpreted his greatest songs. In 2000, Madonna took “American Pie” to new heights, George Michael recorded “The Grave” and Ellie Goulding released her version of “Vincent”. Last but not least, it is worth mentioning that McLean is a co-composer of Drakes hit “Doing it wrong”.

During his long career, Don McLean has sold over 40 gold and platinum albums worldwide and he has more than 4000 concerts on his summary.

On October 23, he is prepared with his band to give the audience an unforgettable evening at Skandiascenen (Circus) in Stockholm!
