More about the movie:

Do the Right Thing was Oscars nominated for the best manuscript and starring after it premiered during the Cannes Film Festival in 1989. The film was met by astonished audience and raised important debates about race-related issues. The film has later been stamped as a cultural and historically significant masterpiece.

Spike Lee has not only produced, written, and directed his revolutionary 80s film but also participates in front of the camera.

During a broiling hot day in Brooklyn, New York, may we follow Spike Lee’s character, the somewhat lazy pizza carrier Mooki. His meetings with colorful personalities along the streets of his neighborhood are portrayed to a start with a casual lightweight chewing gum playfulness. Where everyone knows everyone, hangs in gang on the stairs up to the neighbor – and greets each other with choreographed greetings.

The longer the day suffers becomes in addition to the apparent heat even deep-rooted injustices inevitable and bubbles up to the surface. Dispyts escalate, culminate, and soon hit a wedge between people in the neighborhood.
