Last Friday, the pop duo Death Team released the single “Weekend”.

“The song is about being unlucky in love and not knowing what you want besides you want to party when it’s weekend,” says Johan Tilli.

“Whether you’re happy or sad, it’s usually get better by going to a party,” says Mayka Edd about the song.

When Death Team was an unsigned band, it was a grab-and-scramble meal among the record companies about who would get them, it all ended with the most expensive deal for a debutant through the ages – and the debut album “Fucking Bitches In The Hood” was released at Warner Music and # 1 on iTunes. In November 2015 appointed the American magazine Spin the song to the ninth best single in 2015 and wrote “the most perfect WTF rap vers of 2015”.

Even the following singles “Gold” (which lay the top spot 10 on the Global Spotify Viral Chart), “Jump” and “Dolphin Style” (where Death Team created Dolphin Awareness Day to pay attention to dolphins in captivity) became successful and played all diligently on radio.

Last year came “Messed Up”, which was celebrated by Fredrik Strage in TV4 Nyhetsmorgon. In February of this year released “Work” and the duo were the same month nominated for “Group of the Year 2016” on the prestigious gala P3 Gold.
