To celebrate Dance Day Sunday 29th of April, a mobile dance happening is arranged along Stockholm’s Local traffics red line in the subway. Behind the event is the county council’s county culture function DIS / Dance in Stockholm city and county together with the other members in the dance network Dance on the red line.

The day begins at 12.00 on Skärholmens square where the dance collective ReAct! meet up, then the event goes on to Vårby Gård for more dance. The dance day ends in Hallunda. Anyone with a valid SL ticket can take part in the event.

During the trip – which happens with the subway – travelers can meet different types of dance like jazz, indian, contemporary and street. The audience can go all the way or choose to come to the different places on their own. ReAct! will guide by the way.

Participants do both professional actors like ReAct !, C.OFF and JELNEK and dancers from Fryshuset, Dance and Circus School (DOCH), Stockholm Culture School, Botkyrka Cultural School, Usha Balasundaram, Kathak Company, Stockholm Aesthetic Gymnasium and Royal Swedish Ballet School.

The dance trip is free but valid SL ticket is required.
