Culture | Colorful vernissage in Sigtuna

By on May 9, 2016

Vernissage May 10 at 16 on Stora Brännbo Hotel & Conference, Stora Brännbovägen 2-6, 193 22 Sigtuna. The exhibition runs from May 10 to August 31 with a break in July.

Elisabet Ericson (Sundsvall, 1986) is an illustrator, animator and artist. She graduated in illustration and graphic design from Konstfack in 2015. At Large Brännbo she sets out drawings, both new works and images that were signed in recent years. The subjects are often people, surrounded by patterns or different types of environments. The images are often stripped down and simple, drawn with lines that feel their way with ink, black and white and colorful turns. There are figures in motion, absorbed in thoughts, or in the process of activities that leave room for the viewer to interpret. Ericsons‘s drawings are characterized by curiosity and humor, and a great interest for the tell in pictures.

Some things I am inspired by is to watch people, to test new tools and techniques, things that are handmade and has been taken care of, travel and watching different kinds of houses, good movies and to watch other people’s pictures, says Elisabet Ericson.
