CLARION HOTEL STRENGTHS COOPERATION WITH PRIDE

Clarion Hotel is expanding its partnership with Pride and is proud partner of four Pride festivals this summer in three Nordic countries. The hotel chain has a clear focus on diversity and cooperation with Pride is an enhancement of the position Clarion makes for everyone’s equal value.
For the third consecutive year, Clarion is the official partner of Stockholm Pride, which occupies the capital during the first week of August. The hotel chain has also been a partner to Norway’s biggest Pride Festival: Oslo Pride. New for this year, cooperation with West Pride in Gothenburg is 7-11 June. Another news is the cooperation with Helsinki Pride in Helsinki, where the Clarion Hotel made an attentive activity earlier this spring, when the law on marital marriage came into force in Finland. Clarion celebrated by illuminating the hotel’s facades in rainbow colors and offering a newlywed special offer for the wedding night.
Clarion Hotel has been actively supporting Pride for several years, and this year, it is expanding its efforts. The hotels will be natural gatherings during the festivals, where cooperation with Pride will be clearly visible to hotel guests and visitors in both decor and activities. The hotel will be filled with joy and color under the slogan “Stay With Pride”.
– We want to show that we are serious about the equal value of people. At our hotel, everyone can be themselves, both guests and staff, says Henrik Berghult, Senior Vice President, Clarion Hotel, about the collaboration with Pride.
– We focus on diversity all year long, with several activities. There is a strong commitment to Pride among our employees, which is amazingly fun to see, and is a sign that this is very, very important to many, Berghult concludes.
Clarion Hotels Diversity Work permeates the entire business from management to employees and beyond to the guests. In the recruitment process, all applicants are given the same opportunity regardless of experience and background when the hotel chain organizes auditions. In addition, the Nordic Choice Hotels, including the Clarion Hotel, have been awarded the Union’s Hbtq Award as “Sweden’s Hbtq-Friendly Workplace”. This after a colleague himself nominated the workplace.
– We are very pleased to see Clarion continue to be committed as a proud hotel partner to Stockholm Pride, says Christian Gerdes, Festival Manager, Stockholm Pride.
In addition to activating at the hotels, more than 200 employees have previously participated in the Pride Parades. This year they expect even greater support. During Stockholm Pride Parade, Clarion Hotel will dance through the capital together with the dancer, choreographer and lecturer Tobias Karlsson & the ensemble “Dansa Samba med mig” to celebrate Tobias new show rolled out this fall in collaboration with Clarion.
