Clarion Hotel Arlanda Airport is first with Karma

To further reduce food waste, Clarion Hotel Arlanda Airport has joined the app Karma as the first company at Arlanda Airport. Through the Karma app, the hotel can sell further food that is otherwise at risk of being thrown away.

Through Karma, staff at Arlanda Airport and travelers can buy food for half the price from the hotel’s Kitchen & Table Arlanda restaurant. The restaurant is located on floor 12 and serves lunch and dinner every day.

– This is our next step in reducing food waste and it feels incredibly fun to finally be up and running. Now we just have to make sure to spread this to everyone who works and is at Arlanda, says Ted Dahlström, Food & Beverage Manager at Clarion Hotel Arlanda Airport

Clarion Hotel Arlanda Airport works daily to create the least possible environmental impact where reducing food waste is a priority area. The hotel has previously changed to smaller plates at the breakfast buffet, worked with nudging against the guest and taken the help of all the staff at the hotel to minimize food waste and it has given results.

– We reduced our food waste by over 20% in 2018 and we hope that the connection to Karma can reduce it further, continues Ted Dahlström
