CLARA STRAUCH – Live on Glashuset WY13, Free entrance

By on November 24, 2017

With roots in New York as well as in Gotland and with winding melodies and depictions, Clara Strauch now takes place on the Swedish music scene. She is up to date with the single “Islands” released on December 1, and becomes the third taste test for the upcoming debut album “Persephone.” Claras cultural smorgasbord in background inspires her to write poetic, vulnerable, and personal texts. She presents her both charismatically and scaled at the piano, inspired by artists like Regina Spektor and Frida Hyvönen.

Clara is educated both in vocals and acting at NYU Tisch, and was recently nominated for “Outstanding Original Music” at The New York Innovative Theater Awards, for her musical setting of “The Tempes … t” (Smith Street Stage, Brooklyn). She has also written music to the Romateater’s “Vanity Frieri,” and her own folk-musical “Wayward Home” has been set up at theaters in northeastern United States.
