Tilde Björfors challenges traditional hierarchies in a new performance in collaboration with Östgötateatern. The work will be premiered in Norrköping in September 2018 and eventually land at Dansens Hus in Stockholm for the play period 30th of November 2018 -27th January 2019. Ticket release on International Women’s Day 8th of March!

“The role models range from the goddess Ishtar, Hildegard of Bingen, Begin movement and Pockettidningen R to today’s fighters like Fatemeh Khavari and Tarana Burke. We want to lift and pay tribute to the courage and values that have been required to create change. In humble admiration we link us to the long chain of women who paved the way for us to be where we are today, with the opportunity to look forward,” writes Circus Cirkör in a press release.

Epifónima, which means “exclamation” in Greek, is a natural continuation of Tilde Björfors recent performance Borders, Limits and Movements that revolved around borders, constraints and migration.

In Epifónima , the ensemble is working cross-border and co-creation with the creative team. The performance is an all-art work created by all involved. The ensemble consists of seven female circus artists from Greece, Canada, Palestine, Poland, Sweden and Switzerland. The music is composed by the Norwegian singer and composer Rebekka Karijord.
