By on February 13, 2019

Saturday, February 23, the sports holiday in Stockholm begins. Then it is time again for one of Sweden’s largest ski runs for children – Visma Ski Classics 4 Kids taking place at Täby Konstsnöspår. The race is organized by the IT company Visma in collaboration with Täby IS Ski Club and is inspired by the long-distance tour Visma Ski Classics, which includes the legendary competitions Vasaloppet and Marcialonga. Participation is free for all children aged 4-12 years.

The idea behind the race is to encourage all children to engage in activities and outdoor activities and this year is the second time that the event is being conducted. In 2018, the competition was very popular with just over 300 participants and this year even more children of all ages are expected to participate.

It will be a playful competition in classic style without timing and with liquid stations during the track. All children receive their own start number which is distributed in Visma’s three-storey trailer with a view of the entire competition area. The younger participants go a path of 1.7 km and the older 2.7 km. At the finish, everyone who participated gets a medal. On site there is also the opportunity for the participants to try out the Skicross arena with jumps, gates, tunnels and other fun activities.

Complete ski equipment is available for children who do not have their own. Limited number and first come first served.
