Gad Elmaleh to Sweden with "The Dream Tour"

With sharp improvisations and engaging stories, Gad Elmaleh has gone from being France’s biggest stand-up star to becoming one of the world’s most celebrated comedians. Tuesday, September 25th, his “The Dream Tour” will be held at the Södra Teater in Stockholm for one evening.

Gad Elmaleh is an expert in joke about the everyday and has a high laugh rate in his show. As an influential Frenchman in the United States, he is joking about the eating habits and dating culture in his new home country, and stories  about his experiences of moving from Paris to the United States, the struggle to flirt with women in New York and how he wants to visit Paris, the Americans romanticized, talks so well but, as he means, does not exist.

Since moving across the Atlantic, Gad has quickly gone from being France’s most celebrated comedian to becoming a world star of rank. With over seven million twitter followers and five million followers on Facebook, it’s not hard to understand the impact Gad has on the stand-up world.

In 2015, he made 50 sold out nights at Joe’s Pub in New York City which led him further on a big US tour which was topped with a sold-out Carnegie Hall in Manhattan in 2017. In his home country he has managed the incredible feat with a packed prestigious Olympia Theater Hall in Paris seven consecutive nights, something nobody succeeded in earlier.

In addition to his stand up, Gad Elmaleh has also featured in the film world, including the voice of the character “Ben Salaad” in the Steven Spielberg movie “The Adventures of Tintin” and in Woody Allen-signed “Midnight in Paris” where he acted against Owen Wilson and Rachel McAdams. He has also been keen on television shows like Conan, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Late Night with Seth Meyers and The Daily Show.

We are looking forward to welcoming Gad Elmaleh and “The Dream Tour” to the Södra Teatern in Stockholm this fall!
