British punk duo Slaves to Sweden!

By on August 12, 2018

Slaves are the British punk duo described as “British punk with harsh bluesy garage riffs”. Next week (August 17), punkduon Slaves releases their third album, “Acts of Fear and Love” and in connection with that, the band goes out for a tour! On October 11th Laurie Vincent and Isaac Holman will arrive at Debaser Strand in Stockholm.

Tickets are released via LiveNation.com

The band’s third album represents fear and love – as the band describes as the biggest driving forces in life right now. The overall theme of the album was from an expression that Isaac Holman’s college teacher used to use: “There’s no such thing as hate – just acts of fear and love.”

The third album is more personal than the previous release of the duo, which can be seen on the cover of the disc and accompanying photos, created by the famous photographer Juergen Teller. On the cover of the record we see Laurie’s son Bart. Laurie comments on the choice of image:
“If a kid did not want to be in a photo you’d sense it. There’s something about Bart. He gave us permission,”

In connection with the release of album number three, the band is on tour in North America and Europe. Live is the band a force to count on and we look forward to the tour coming to Sweden! “The I Would Drive 500 Miles And I Would Drive 500 More And Then Drive 126 More Tour” as the tour is actually called, comes to Debaser Strand on October 11th!
