Jag är en annan nu is a newly written piece about a mom-and-daughter relationship. For scripts and directors stands Björn Runge, right now highly topical with internationally acclaimed film “The wife” with Glenn Close in the lead role. The play gets its first performance at Kulturhuset Stadsteatern January 26, 2018. The role of the mother is played by Ann Petrén and in the role of the daughter we see Sofia Ledarp.

Jag är en annan nu is a chamber game about a mother and daughter whose relationship takes a whole new way when the daughter gets sick.

– The mother is inspired by Ann’s character in “Om jag vänder mig om”, says Björn Runge. I started writing on a text about where the characters in that movie had gone, then Ann Petrén’s character Anita came back to me. I let her have a daughter and created a new problem, says Björn, there is a clear track from the play’s mother, back to the nature of the film, although they are not in any way identical.
